Please post information about technology.

Can you "do UDL" Without Technology?

Year 1 Team Leader Anita Strang has written a moving account of how UDL has changed her job and impacted her entire school.  Anita comments that although her team knew about differentiation, it was having the technology in place that made differentiation both possible and easier.

Technology Toolbelts for Students and Teachers

If we truly want to empower our students and foster independence, we need to assist our students in finding and choosing the tools that work best for them.  Ira Socol expresses this brilliantly in his Toolbelt Theory.

Teachers in the project will also assemble a Teacher Technology Toolbelt to help them work more efficiently and collaboratively.

Technology Used in the Project

The key commercial software and hardware used in the project include WordKurzweil, and the SMARTBoard

The use of public domain photos and clip art, music and sounds, videos, webcams, podcasting and vodcasting, e-text and Audio Books, digital story-telling toolstext-to-speech tools, mind-mapping tools, timeline tools, and other web-based resources will also be explored in relationship to the UDL Guidelines and curriculum areas.

Please post collections of teacher tools, AT/UDL Tools, and Implementation Ideas here.
